Impressions of the art at the Panama-Pacific Exposition
Christian Brinton's 1916 survey of the painting and sculpture shown at the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco, issued in New York by John Lane for exhibition visitors, collectors, and art students. The 82 plates are halftone reproductions of oil paintings, credited to artists and lenders in sidebar captions, covering reclining and seated nudes, sunlit garden and veranda scenes, winter village landscapes, and patterned interiors in warm sepia ink.
