Letters on Sport in Eastern Bengal
A retired Bengal Civil Service officer's account of pig-sticking, shooting and other field sport in eastern Bengal, written as letters and published by R. H. Porter in London in 1886 for British sporting readers. Tinted plates show mounted hunters spearing wild boar across open plains, with a title-page wood-engraved boar in grass and a beaded, scrolled tailpiece ornament.
