Sport; Fox-Huting, Salmon-Fishing, Covert-Shooting, Deer-Stalking
A memoir of British field sports — fox-hunting, salmon-fishing, covert-shooting and deer-stalking — written by W. Bromley-Davenport and issued in London by Chapman and Hall in 1885 for gentleman sportsmen. The illustrations are small pen-drawn wood engravings dropped into the text with small-caps captions: shot birds tumbling wings-open, a rider swimming his horse, antler tips breaking a bare moorland skyline, all usable as sparse line spots.
