Le Voyage de M. Dumollet, Text et Dessins
A comic illustrated narrative written and drawn by Albert Robida, published in Paris by Georges Decaux in 1883, expanding a well-known French song about the travels of M. Dumollet for a general family readership. The pen drawings caricature 1820s Restoration dress — plumed hats, puffed sleeves, spindly legs and swallowtail coats — in parlour scenes, dockside crowds and circular vignettes that run into the text block, useful for period costume silhouettes, crowd staging and text-wrapped page layouts.
