Indicazione antiquaria per la villa suburbana dell'eccellentissima casa Albani
A Latin-and-Italian antiquarian guide to the classical sculptures and inscriptions at the Villa Albani outside Rome, compiled by the epigrapher Stefano Antonio Morcelli and printed in Rome by Paolo Giunchi in 1785 for collectors, scholars, and visitors to the cardinal's collection. The plates in the index are the book's letterpress woodcut ornaments: symmetrical headpieces and tailpieces built from acanthus scrolls, strapwork frames, shells, urns of fruit and flowers, grotesque masks, and small figures holding branches, printed coarsely enough to be traced as simple silhouettes or repeated as border units.
