A wholesale trade catalogue of stamped goods, transfer patterns and fancy-work materials issued by J. F. Ingalls of Lynn, Massachusetts, in 1887 for retailers and home needleworkers. The line engravings show embroidery designs laid out on towel ends, tidies and scarf borders \u2014 wild roses, daisies, trailing vines, farmyard vignettes \u2014 above dense fringes and scalloped edges, giving outline-only motifs and repeating border strips that can be lifted straight into ornament or pattern work.
