Inscriptions in the hieratic and demotic character : from the collections of the British Museum.
A British Museum plate volume of Egyptian hieratic and demotic inscriptions, edited by Samuel Birch and published in London in 1868 for Egyptologists and philologists. The lithographed plates trace ink writing on broken limestone ostraca and papyrus scraps, with irregular fragment outlines, red rubrics, and small figure scenes of gods and offering tables useful as script textures, silhouettes, and mark-making reference.
