A traveller's account of Spain by John Lomas, published in London by A. and C. Black in 1908 for British armchair readers and tourists. The plates are halftone photographs of towns and monuments — round brick gate towers with arched openings, cathedral fronts across open plazas, cloister arcades, hill towns seen across bare fields — with soft grey tonal ranges and coarse screen texture useful for atmospheric backgrounds, architectural silhouettes and period travel-photograph collage.
