A treatise on engraved gems, written by Giuseppe Antonio Aldini and printed by G. Biasini in Cesena in 1785 for antiquarians and collectors of ancient intaglios. The pictures are small letterpress woodcut headpieces and tailpieces in a late Baroque manner: scrolling acanthus, urns with flowers, a trophy of instruments, a crowing cock, and an oval cameo profile, all usable as symmetrical rules, dividers and small stamps.
