International studio
An art magazine — the New York edition of London's The Studio — issued monthly from 1897 for artists, collectors and decorators, reporting on painting, printmaking and the applied arts. The plates are halftone reproductions of contemporary paintings and etchings: three-quarter portraits of women, genre interiors with figures at tables, and linear landscape etchings of hills, trees and fields, all in soft grey tonal ranges useful as period picture stock and for greyscale texture.
