International studio
Bound volume of International Studio, the New York edition of the London art magazine The Studio, issued from 1897 for collectors, designers, and readers following contemporary painting, etching, and the decorative arts. Plates reproduce etchings, mezzotints, and wash drawings in halftone, mostly landscapes and street views built from dense blacks and soft grey gradients, alongside ornament and design pages; useful for atmospheric tonal backgrounds, silhouetted tree masses, and turn-of-century layout and lettering models.
