International studio
An American edition of the London art magazine The Studio, issued monthly in New York from 1897 for artists, collectors, and decorators. The plates are halftone reproductions of contemporary paintings, etchings, and chalk drawings — wooded landscapes, cottages under bare trees, coastal views, and half-length portraits — printed in soft grey tones that suit backgrounds, textures, and muted tonal collage.
