International studio
International Studio was the New York edition of the London art magazine The Studio, issued from 1897 for artists, collectors and decorators reporting on current painting, printmaking and design. The plates are halftone and photogravure reproductions: charcoal figure groups, moody tree-and-water landscapes, drypoint interiors, with heavy blacks, soft grain and credit lines useful as texture, tonal grounds and period reproduction effects.
