Investigation of a highway bridge
A 1902 civil engineering thesis by Guy Bernard Barackman, submitted at the University of Illinois, analyzing the loads and members of a highway bridge for examiners and fellow engineering students. The plates are hand-drawn ink line diagrams: truss outlines with lettered panel points, dimension strings, wheel-load positions as plain circles, and handwritten annotations on cream paper, offering designers stripped-down structural geometry, arrows, and draftsman lettering.
