Investigation of a steel highway bridge
An undergraduate engineering thesis on a steel highway bridge, handwritten and drawn in ink by Earle Belmont Woodin at the University of Illinois in 1906 and kept in the university library. Pages mix looping cursive with small pen diagrams: parabolic arch ribs labelled with reaction arrows and spans, I-beam sections in plate-and-angle notation, and algebraic fractions set as display lines.
