Investigation of telephone companies. Letter from the secretary of commerce and labor transmitting, in response to a Senate resolution of May 28, 1908
A U.S. Bureau of Labor report on telephone companies, compiled by Ethelbert Stewart and Charles E. Baldwin and printed by the Government Printing Office in Washington in 1910 for the Senate. The plates are halftone photographs of long switchboard rooms, ranks of women operators in white blouses and floor-length skirts, supervisors, and rest rooms, useful for period workplace interiors and uniform silhouettes.
