I qvattro libri dell'architettvra
Andrea Palladio's four-book architectural treatise, first issued 1570 and reprinted in Venice by Bartolomeo Carampello in 1601, with woodcuts cut by Giovanni and Cristoforo Chrieger for builders, patrons and students of the antique. The 393 plates give measured elevations, plans and sections of villas, palaces and Roman temples, plus column orders, capitals, entablature profiles and rooftop statues drawn in fine hatched line.
