Italian medals
A scholarly survey of Italian Renaissance medals by Cornelius von Fabriczy, published in London by Duckworth in 1904 for collectors, curators and students of numismatics. Halftone plates group cast medals against plain grounds: profile portraits in caps and armour, reverse allegories with horses, eagles and cities, all ringed by raised Latin lettering useful for circular type, emblems and coin-like frames.
