Catalogue of the ivory carvings of the Christian era with examples of Mohammedan art and carvings in bone in the Department of British and Mediaeval Antiquities and Ethnography of the British Museum
A museum catalogue of ivory carvings from the Christian era, Mohammedan work and bone pieces, compiled by O. M. Dalton under Charles Hercules Read and printed for the British Museum Trustees in London, 1909, for curators and collectors. Halftone photographs show relief panels, caskets, diptychs, plaques and combs in raking light, giving designers draped figures, arcaded frames, seated saints and dense carved borders.
