Official catalogue of the ninth Venice Biennale, printed by C. Ferrari in Venice in 1910 for exhibition visitors and collectors, listing the painting and sculpture on show with halftone plates of selected works. The 166 halftones reproduce turn-of-the-century oils and sculpture in dark, coarse-grained tones cwith heavy shadow: lone seated figures against sea and sky, herdsmen and cattle in flat fields, dim interiors with grouped figures, and mythological nudes c useful for silhouettes, murky backgrounds, and grainy figure studies.
