Joannis Schefferi argentoratensis Graphice, id est, De arte pingendi liber singularis : cum indice necessario
A Latin treatise on the art of painting, Graphice, written by the Strasbourg scholar Johannes Scheffer and printed at Nuremberg by the Endter press in 1669 for learned readers and practising artists. Illustration is typographic: woodcut initials with rosettes and foliage, scrolling acanthus tailpieces, an emblematic device of two allegorical figures flanking a broken column under a RESPICE FINEM banderole, and an inked owner's monogram.
