Joannis Vignolii Petilianensis De columna Imperatoris Antonini Pii dissertatio
A Latin antiquarian dissertation by Giovanni Vignoli on the Column of Antoninus Pius, printed in Rome by Francesco Gonzaga in 1705 for scholars of Roman inscriptions and numismatics. Copperplate engravings pair coin obverses and reverses inside ruled rectangular frames linked by small scroll and ribbon ornaments, alongside inscribed funerary tablets and altars with garlands, urns and ox skulls, supplying compact medallion profiles, Roman capital lettering and ready-made headpiece borders.
