A German monograph by Friedrich Hermann Hofmann on the porcelain modeller and sculptor Johann Peter Melchior, published in Munich by F. Schmidt in 1921 for collectors and museum curators. Halftone plates photograph relief portrait medallions in profile, biscuit figure groups, putti with wreaths and armorial cartouches, and carved frames, giving designers oval portrait silhouettes and modelled ornament isolated on dark grounds.
