Jordan vs. Banks match games for a purse of $1,000.00 and the restricted world's checker championship
A record of the 1914 Jordan–Banks match games for a $1,000 purse and the restricted world's checker championship, compiled by Harry Lieberman and printed in Kansas City for checker players and club followers of the match. The plates are halftone studio portraits of men in suits, each masked into an oval vignette on a plain page, giving designers period head-and-shoulders likenesses, oval frame shapes, and the soft grey tonal range of early-century newspaper photo reproduction.
