[Journal]
A handwritten personal journal kept in 1856 by Moses Leon Hyneman, recording an overland journey westward toward the Pacific, with no printed publisher or place of issue. The 71 images are close crops of cursive script in violet and brown ink on faintly ruled blue-gray paper, useful as script samples, letterform references, and aged paper and ink textures for backgrounds.
