A two-volume edition of the business journals of Hugh Gaine, an eighteenth-century New York newspaper printer, issued by Dodd, Mead in 1902 for bibliophiles and students of American printing. The plates reproduce colonial press work in facsimile: royal arms cuts with lion and unicorn supporters, newspaper masthead headpieces, engraved subscription receipts, and small currency notes framed in typographic flower borders.
