The joy of gardens
A 1911 American gardening book by Lena May McCauley, published in Chicago and New York by Rand, McNally for home gardeners and amateur horticulturists. Fifty-two sepia halftone photographs show rose gardens, clipped hedges, pergolas and flower borders from Pennsylvania to California, with captions set in small capitals; useful for soft-toned garden backgrounds, period plate captions and turn-of-century landscape textures.
