Starye gody

1907 · [Petrograd] · 166 pictures

Starye gody ("Old Years") was a Russian art and antiquarian monthly issued in St Petersburg from 1907 for collectors, architects and historians of the imperial period. Its sepia halftone plates reproduce measured elevations and interior views of neoclassical palaces and churches — arcades, coffered vaults, panelled doors with painted lunettes, grotesque ornament borders and Cyrillic dedicatory cartouches — usable as ornament stencils, frame devices and lettering panels.
