Karrikatur-Allmanach auf 1801
A pocket-sized German caricature almanac for the year 1801, issued by publisher Gottfried Vollmer in Mainz and Hamburg and drawing on Georg Christoph Lichtenberg's satirical commentary for middle-class readers. The plates are small engraved satires of manners and politics, with figures in late-1700s dress; the scanned leaves also give worn laid paper, foxing stains and show-through usable as textures.
