Katalog der Königlichen Gemäldegalerie zu Dresden
A scholarly catalogue of the Royal Picture Gallery in Dresden, compiled by director Karl Woermann and printed in Dresden in 1892 for curators, collectors and gallery visitors. The plates are line facsimiles of painters' signatures and monograms cut from the canvases themselves — Rembrandt dated 1633, Berchem 1656, Ferdinand Bol's "fecit" — offering designers seventeenth-century script forms, looping flourishes, ligatured initials and numerals for lettering and logotype work.
