The Kindergarten journal
A 1910 periodical on kindergarten teaching, issued in Chicago by the Chicago Kindergarten College Alumnae Association and associated with Elizabeth Harrison and the National Congress of Mothers, addressed to teachers and mothers. The halftone plates are studio photographs of babies and young children — one seated against a fanned wicker peacock chair with flowers and beads, another a page of oval and square portraits arranged in a symmetrical cluster with penwork palm-leaf ornament — useful for period portrait framing, collage grids and decorative photo borders.
