The Kindergarten magazine
A monthly trade periodical for kindergarten teachers and training-school students, issued in Chicago by the Kindergarten Magazine Co. from 1891. The plates are coarse-screen halftone portraits of women educators in high-collared and leg-of-mutton dress, shown bust-length against plain grey grounds, useful as period portrait stock, halftone dot texture, and reference for 1890s hairstyles and clothing.
