The Kindergarten magazine
A monthly periodical for kindergarten teachers and training-school students, issued in Chicago by the Kindergarten Magazine Co. from 1891. Coarse-screen halftone photographs run to documentary subjects: Southwestern Native children carrying ollas in open desert, and a manual-training forge room lined with anvils, hoods and timber posts, offering grainy period interiors, work equipment and figure groups for collage or texture.
