The Kindergarten magazine
A monthly trade periodical for kindergarten teachers and training-school students, issued by the Kindergarten Magazine Co. in Chicago from 1891. The plates are halftone photographs: rows of small children at long worktables in wainscoted rooms, circle games on lawns beside frame cottages, and soft-focus portraits of women teachers, all useful for period interiors, group arrangements, and grainy tonal backgrounds.
