The Kindergarten magazine
The Kindergarten Magazine, a monthly professional periodical issued in Chicago from 1891 by the Kindergarten Magazine Co. for teachers, training-school students, and mothers in the American kindergarten movement. Its plates are coarse-screen halftone photographs: shoreline fishing settlements, harbor views, a decorated schoolroom hung with pictures and set with small chairs, and studio portraits of women contributors.
