A Victorian antiquarian reprint, issued in 1860, of the Book of Sports proclamations of James I and Charles I on Sunday recreation, set in period style for English collectors of rare royal texts. Ornament is black-line woodcut in the early modern manner: foliate headbands with putti and scrolling acanthus, a triangular tailpiece, and a decorated initial W on a leafy ground.
