King Philip's war, and Witchcraft in New England
A late reprint of Thomas Hutchinson's colonial-era accounts of King Philip's War and the New England witchcraft trials, published in New York by E. Maynard & Co. in 1890 for American general readers and history students. The scanned plates are a wood-engraved map of southern New England, with hachured hills, rivers and small-capital town names, alongside the Library of Congress binder's endpapers printed in pale tan: an eagle-and-shield seal repeated in a diagonal lettered grid.
