Koptische Kunst
A scholarly catalogue of Coptic antiquities in the Cairo Museum, compiled by art historian Josef Strzygowski and published in Vienna in 1904 for archaeologists and museum curators. Halftone photographs and line plates record carved limestone capitals, pilasters, niche heads and grave stelae, giving usable motifs: acanthus and vine scrolls, incised zigzag and lozenge bands, rosettes and interlace, plus figures in pleated drapery.
