Dijsselhof
Jan Veth's Dutch adaptation of Walter Crane's essays on decorative art, published in Amsterdam in 1903 for artists and designers, with vignettes cut in wood by G.W. Dijsselhof. The headpieces are dense black-line blocks of stylized peacocks, tulips, grape clusters and butterflies held in rectangular borders, useful for high-contrast banners, chapter heads and repeating stippled-texture panels.
