A laboratory manual in physics, to accompany Black and Davis' "Practical physics for secondary schools,"
A laboratory manual of physics experiments written by Newton Henry Black in 1913 and published by Macmillan in New York, issued as a companion workbook for American secondary school students using Black and Davis' textbook. The plates are spare line diagrams of apparatus: pulleys, weights, springs and levers, blocks suspended in ruled tanks of water, and a galvanometer between posts, all drawn in thin uniform outline against blank paper, useful as ready-made technical symbols and diagram vocabulary.
