A Spanish-language documentary survey of Catalonia's monasteries and convents during the first third of the nineteenth century, written by the Barcelona priest and historian Cayetano Barraquer y Roviralta and printed in Barcelona in 1906 for church historians, antiquarians, and local scholars. The 176 plates are coarse-screened halftone photographs of church facades, rose windows, Romanesque portals, cloister arcades, bell towers, and half-ruined walls, printed with heavy grain and blocked shadows that suit high-contrast reuse, cut-out building silhouettes, and stone texture fills.
