A four-volume Catalan church history by priest Cayetano Barraquer y Roviralta, printed in Barcelona by Altés y Alabart in 1906, documenting monasteries and religious houses suppressed in the first third of the 19th century, written for clergy, local historians and antiquarians. Halftone photographs of church façades, arcaded cloisters, overgrown courtyards and ruined naves alternate with line elevations showing rose windows, round-arched openings and coursed masonry, giving designers architectural line drawings and grainy photographic views of Spanish monastic buildings.
