Lace, its origin and history
A 1904 history and survey of lace by New York lace importer Samuel L. Goldenberg, issued by Brentano's for dealers, buyers and collectors. The plates are captioned halftone photographs of lace specimens laid against dark grounds, each showing a full panel with net ground, scattered floral sprigs and a deep scalloped border, usable as fine white-on-black repeat pattern, border strip and textile texture sources.
