Lace work
A late-Victorian instruction manual on lace and lace making, credited to Mary E. Bradford and published by P. Mason & Company in Boston in 1896 for home needleworkers. The plates are shaded engravings of knotted thread samples pinned to a board, showing diamond netting, macramé knots and loose fringes as fine line textures on grey grounds.
