Lace work : a handbook, illustrated
A practical handbook on bobbin lace by Mary E. Bradford, published in New York by the thread firm Barbour Bros. in 1896 for home lacemakers and needlework students. Halftone plates show lace in progress on a dark pillow, pins standing in rows, threads crossing into diamond mesh and falling into loose fringes below the worked edge.
