An Italian architectural monograph on the monastery and church of San Michele in Bosco at Bologna, written by the art historian Francesco Malaguzzi Valeri and issued in Bologna by Fava e Garagnani in 1895 for antiquarians and architectural scholars. Halftone photographs record the arcaded octagonal cloister, brick facade, carved pilaster panels and pedimented doorways, giving designers Renaissance ornament details and weathered stone textures.
