La décoration primitive; Amérique post-Colombienne
A portfolio of plates on ornament, issued by Daniel Réal in Paris in 1922 as part of a series documenting decorative motifs for artists and craft workers, here covering post-Columbian America. Plates reproduce carved and painted gourds, pottery and woven basketry in photographic halftone, giving interlocking fret bands, radiating rosettes, incised flower-and-bird scenes and stepped geometric borders.
