A 1912 visitor's guide to the lace collection of the Musées royaux des arts décoratifs et industriels in Brussels, written by curator Eugène van Overloop for museum-goers and students of lace technique. The plates are halftone photographs of braided and twisted thread structures on grey grounds, showing plaited lattices, hexagonal meshes and looped ends in stark black and white — usable as repeating net patterns, border rules and textures for overlays.
