A needlework and fancy-work manual by Florence Hartley, published in Philadelphia by J. W. Bradley in 1860 for American women working embroidery, braiding and crochet at home. The plates are outline border strips — daisies, trailing vines, rings, dots and lattice grounds — drawn as unshaded working patterns that can be repeated end to end as rules, frames or tiled ornament.
