Lady Charlotte Schreiber's collecting diaries from 1869 to 1885, edited by Montague Guest with notes by Egan Mew and published in London and New York by John Lane in 1911 for collectors and museum readers. The plates are halftone photographs of European porcelain and pottery shot against black: enamelled figure groups, lidded tankards and snuff boxes, pierced Rococo vases with modelled putti, and crowded shelf arrangements, giving designers isolated silhouettes of eighteenth-century ceramic form and painted ornament.
